Tamil Nadu has made week-long home quarantine mandatory for all international travellers including those from non at-risk countries. This after data showed 25% of the 34 Omicron cases in the state are from non at risk countries. The state has also increased random sampling tests five-fold from two percent to ten percent on arriving passengers. The southern state is also recording a slight increase in hospitalisation.
