On Highway Near Lucknow, A Sea Of Cycles
In the last few days and weeks, there have been stories of immense distress as migrant workers from big cities make a desperate bid to return home to their villages, especially to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Alok Pandey met a group of 21 workers travelling from Delhi to Bihar. They had to cycle over 300 km before a motor vehicle driver agreed to take them on, at a price.
