On Last Day To Surrender Weapons In Manipur, Government Urges Peace | Read
On the last day of the deadline to surrender weapons looted since the ethnic violence began in Manipur in May 2023, Governor AK Bhalla urged for peace. Currently under President's rule, Manipur saw over 6,000 weapons being looted from the Manipur Police's treasury, of which 4,000 have been returned so far. The administration has assured that no action will be taken against those who surrender weapons by the March 6 deadline.
