ONGC's demand for royalty payments 'legitimate': Law Ministry
Negotiations between oil ministry and Cairn-Vedanta team have failed to achieve a common ground on the issue of, for acquiring Cairn India whether Vedanta should commit to pay future royalty for the production from Rajasthan block or not. Sources say the law ministry has opined that ONGC's demands on royalty payments are "legitimate".
