Opposition Attacks Centre Over New Chief Election Commissioner's Appointment

Election Commission Of India | Gyanesh Kumar has not moved in his office as CEC yet, politics over Mr Kumar's Appointment has already begun. Rahul Gandhi, also part of the slection committee including PM Modi and Amit Shah, objected to picking a new CEC at this time when selection panel’s composition and the process were challenged in the Supreme Court. In the Dissent Note, Rahul Gandhi called his nomination a 'violation of the Supreme Court order (by) removing the Chief Justice of India from the selection committee'.
