Top leaders of 26 Opposition parties have gathered in Bengaluru to decide on the contours of the front that will take on the BJP next year. They have a lot of work to get done if they are to challenge the BJP - forging a common minimum programme is key but before they do that they have to deal with their own political contradictions. Take for instance, the Congress and the TMC - who have been fighting each other tooth and tail in Bengal. In Delhi and Punjab, the AAP has a direct battle against the Congress.
