US stocks advanced, sending the Standard & Poor's 500 Index near the highest level in about three years, amid better-than-estimated economic reports this week. Chris Rupkey, Chief Financial Economist, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ told NDTV Profit that the GDP and the industrial production data go hand in hand; however, economists fear that they are downplaying the strengths of the recovery in the US. Rupkey is confident on the performance of Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman and three others major banks, despite the fact that Moody's is watching their ratings.
