Orange Alert In Delhi, Very Heavy Rain Expected Over Next 2 Days

Several roads were inundated by knee-high water as heavy rain battered Delhi and its surrounding areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heavy to very heavy rain along with thunderstorms was seen at most places in Delhi-NCR. The weather office said that the Southwest Monsoon has entered the entire Delhi region. The city received 228 mm of rainfall from Thursday to Friday, marking the highest 24-hour rainfall in June since 1936.
