Orissa celebrates Lord's monsoon wedding
Orissa is celebrating the monsoon as it's the beginning of a new agricultural season. Several festivals mark the arrival of the monsoon in the state. And in Western Orissa, it's Seetal Sasthi. Seetal Sasthi is festival in the western part of the state that marks the wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in anticipation of the onset of the monsoon - something that can put an end to the sizzling summer heat and provide enough water for new crops.
