India on Friday logged over 1.17 lakh Covid cases - the daily surge comes very early in the third wave. The last time the country had more than one lakh cases was at the peak of the second wave in June last year. Compared to the previous day's numbers, the cases are up by 28.7 per cent. 302 people have died in a day. As the cases go up, there are new rules for those flying into India. Starting Tuesday, people flying in from abroad will need to home quarantine for a week and test on the eighth day. in Asia's largest urban slum- Dharavi- cases have jumped by a whopping 2100 per cent or 21 times in just around ten days. Mumbai's civic body is trying to take all possible measures.
