In today's episode of India Global, Enforcement Directorate's latest inquiry has found links between two Maharashtra-based 'institutions' and an unspecified number of Canadian colleges who are illegally smuggling Indian citizens across the United States-Canada border. Inquiries suggest 'clients' paid human smugglers an exorbitant sum - at least Rs 55 lakh each - to be illegally transported into the US. ED has discovered that 262 Canadian colleges had allegedly entered into agreements with two Indian entities allegedly involved in a large-scale human trafficking network.
