Over 4.5 Lakh People Affected By Rain, Floods In Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, the death toll from the torrential rains has risen to 15, with six people drowning in floodwaters in the capital region, leading to widespread devastation and loss of life. The sudden overflow of the Budameru River in Vijayawada caused severe flooding, submerging 40% of the city.  As per a press release by the state government, more than Nearly 4.5 lakh people were affected by the unprecedented rainfall and floods in Andhra Pradesh over the past three days, leading to the evacuation of 31,238 people to 166 relief camps.
