Even as India is poised to triple wheat exports this year to a record 6 million tonnes, 61 million children in India suffer from malnourishment which is worse than Bangladesh or Sub-Saharan Africa. Food security bill may not be an instant solution to the problem. But many activists agree that it is certainly a beginning.
