Osamu Suzuki, who grew small-car specialist Suzuki Motor into an international brand with huge successes in India, was one among seven people awarded the Padma Vibhushan, one of the highest civilian awards of the country, by President Droupadi Murmu on the eve of the Republic Day. Mr Suzuki, who called himself an "old man at a small business", died last month at age 94.
