Pagdi: Preserving icons of national history
A legendary pagdi or headgear was witness to the Indian freedom struggle. An iconic piece of attire linked to Bal Gangadhar Tilak, the architect of Swaraj. In fact, it was with head held high and donning this pagdi that Tilak made the historic statement in 1916, ''swaraj is my birthright and I shall have it''.
