After engaging in a bitter spat over the suicide bombing of the Indian embassy in Kabul, Pakistan and Afghanistan on Sunday decided to frame a common strategy to overcome the challenges posed to both countries by cross-border terrorism and extremism. Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Afghan President Hamid Karzai, during a breakfast meeting in Colombo on Sunday, also decided to resume bilateral engagements which were suspended by Kabul following last month's embassy bombing.
