Pakistan Delegation On India Visit To Discuss Indus Water Treaty

Security has been beefed up outside the hotel in Jammu where a delegation from Pakistan is staying. The Pakistani delegation is visiting India in connection with 1960 Indus Water Treaty (IWT). The delegation is set to visit different dam sites in the forthcoming days. Later today i.e. on June 24, the Pakistani delegation is scheduled to visit Kishtwar to see the Dam sites. The Indus Waters Treaty was signed between then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and former Pakistan President Ayub Khan in 1960, brokered by the World Bank.
