Family members gathered at the railway station in Quetta on March 11 anxious about loved ones who were passengers on a train that was attacked in southwestern Pakistan. Separatist militants took 35 passengers hostage. Nearly 350 other passengers are believed to be safe, local police said on Tuesday. Some of the hostages were released by gunmen & escorted by security forces to the railway station in Mach, however, Reuters could not confirm their identities. Jaffar Express had been on its way from Quetta to the city of Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when it was fired upon.
