"My message has been on two fronts. Given the fact that this is the Lok Sabha election and the logical consequence of this election is the election of the prime minister of the country, the paramount question is who will be the country's prime minister once you go out on voting day," Mr Surya said. "We didn't make it a negative campaign. Our campaign thoroughly has been about PM Modi's performance in the last five years, issue-based."
