The last two weeks of the Aam Admi Party has seen them make headlines in the capital and across the country. There's all the buzz about the new wave of politics, the shunning of the VVIP culture that had become so entrenched in our politics in the past few decades; minority politics, appeasement of castes seem to be off the agenda as well, atleast for now. But is the Aam Aadmi Party's attitude to women as misogynist and patriarchal as all the other political parties?
A video in which Kumar Vishwas took to the stage making cracks on women has been widely shared on social media, with many expressing disgust at the very misogynistic nature of his jokes. His own party member asking for him to clarify his stand on women and sexuality has gone unanswered. And so far no word from Arvind Kejriwal, who was also quick to distance himself from some of Prashant Bhushan's recent statements.
