With waiting room seats askew, and confused patients in search of some direction, the picture was grim at the Outpatient Area in Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on Wednesday. Owing to the continuing protests by medics seeking justice for the trainee doctor who was allegedly raped and murdered while on duty in a government hospital in Kolkata, the afternoon OPD services here have been suspended. Patients were seen waiting in the corridors of the OPD for hours on end in hopes of being seen by a doctor working in the morning OPD, which was still operational in the late afternoon.
