In an order that goes a long way in protecting the right to privacy of citizens in the country, the Supreme Court has ordered a probe into the Pegasus spyware case, headed by a retired judge of the top court. In very strong terms that serve to protect the rights of its nationals, the Supreme Court said just the mention of "national security" is not enough to spy on citizens. Further, it said no omnibus prohibition can be called for against judicial review.
