Bollywood actor Salman Khan today strongly urged Mumbaikars to be active participants in the electoral process. Soon after casting his vote in the ongoing Maharashtra Assembly Elections, Salman appealed to the people to exercise their right to vote. The actor said, "When you vote, it shows that somewhere or the other you love your constituency, city, state and country. Just as we select our girlfriend, you should select your leader in the same manner. Elect someone who will do more social work in your constituency than merely play politics."
