Pilibhit Wants Local Candidate: Hemraj Verma, Up Against Varun Gandhi, Tells NDTV
Fighting against BJP's Varun Gandhi in Western UP's Pilibhit seat is the Samajwadi Party's Hemraj Verma, a former UP government minister. "People in Pilibhit want a local candidate," Mr Verma tells NDTV. He also says that the power of the SP's alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal is a representation of people's strength. "The alliance has been formed on public demand," he adds.
