Piprasi, one of the poorest and remotest areas in Bihar with the population of 50,000 people is the first open defecation free block in Bihar. But, in the year 2016, the block witnessed a sanitary revolution when a record-breaking 5,932 toilets were constructed in only 56 days. Thanks to the community-led intervention that focused only on women and children. Both women and children led the sanitation movement and transformed the village for good.
