The National Green Tribunal has refused to lift the ban on diesel vehicles which are more than 10 years old. According to the Green Court, emissions from diesel cars can cause cancer and this is one reason for banning them. Skoda is looking for partners to build a low-cost car for emerging markets. It's already in talks with local suppliers in India and even a few car makers. Bajaj will be moving into the world of electric vehicles with a new brand, Urbanite, and that's big news for India as we'll see the first examples from this brand by 2020.
