BlackBerry row: Govt to bring out rules on data encryption

The government is looking at amending the IT Act to ensure that the Act contains clear guidelines on encryption and decryption of data. Even as the August 31 deadline for finding a solution looms large the telecom ministry is hoping that the issue will be resolved.
