CCEA puts ban on FDI in cigarette manufacturing
The government has banned foreign direct investment (FDI) in cigarette manufacturing. "FDI will be prohibited in the manufacture of cigarettes, whether it is for domestic consumption...or for exports," Home Minister P Chidambaram said.
