Coal demand exceeding supply in India: Platts
James O’Connell, managing editor of Platts, says the trend shows that India is becoming a major importer of coal from Indonesia and South Africa. He adds that in the current fiscal Coal India is in position to produce 550 MT but the demand is of 700 MT.
