Containment of fiscal deficit most welcome feature of Budget: Adi Godrej

Finance Minister P Chidambaram said on Thursday that fiscal deficit for the current year is seen at 5.2 per cent of the GDP. Adi Godrej, chairman of Godrej Industries, tells NDTV, that the containment of fiscal deficit is the best feature of the Budget. "It has tremendous beneficial effects across-the-board. Secondly many of the expenditure areas are for development...Overall, the expenditure part of the budget will add to growth," he says.
