Expect rupee at 54/$ by end-Dec: Vivek Rajpal
The rupee continued to weaken today and slipped to its weakest levels since September 5. Vivek Rajpal of Nomura says that political concerns and weak macroeconomic conditions are weighing on the rupee in the near term. He however expects the local currency to move back towards 54/$ by December-end if global risk appetite remains steady.
