IIP growth slides to 2-year low of 1.9%
Industrial out slumped to a two-year low of 1.9 percent against 6.1 percent in the corresponding month last year, mainly due to poor performance by mining and manufacturing sectors. Sajjid Chinoy, India economist at Morgan Stanley, says the number tells us that there is no movement on capex side.
