Kelkar report should have prioritized reforms: Economists

With a lot of what the Kelkar Committee has recommended being in sharp focus, Shubhada Rao, Chief Economist, Yes Bank feels that while a lot of the recommendations are very credible. Saugata Bhattacharya, Economist, Axis Bank feels that the Kelkar Committee report is a bold one, correctly putting into context what is required to be done urgently to fix the fiscal issue. "It would have been even better if the Kelkar report had prioritized some of the reforms which are urgently required," he added.
