LPG subsidy transfer should be moved to cash payments: Planning Commission
The planning commission says that progress is being made on the rollout of cash transfer of subsidies. Saumitra Chaudhuri, Member, Planning Commission expects Kerosense and LPG subsidy transfer to be moved to cash payments first. Implementation of fertiliser subsidy and food subsidy through cash transfers, however, remains a challenge.
