Mayawati govt mulls option of extending recurring income to farmers
In a bid to woo the farmers back, the Uttar Pradesh government is mulling the option of extending a recurring income to the farmers, which will be over and above the one time compensation that they will receive. Sources say farmers may be offered an annual income of Rs. 15,000 per acre.
