Post-festive demand remains sluggish: M&M
Post-festive season demand in the auto industry remains weak, says Pawan Goenka, president of auto and farm equipment business at M&M. He, however, says that some segments like tractors are showing healthy pick-up for now. He adds that he expects demand to start to pick up next year specially if interest rates comes down and consumer sentiment improves. Dr. Goenka also says that M&M remains optimistic about the medium term demand picture in India and hence is not cutting back on investment plans.
