Refinancing risk could emerge for banks: India Ratings
While the asset quality risk to banks may recede in 2013, banks could face a risk of refinancing in the coming year, says Ananda Bhoumik, senior director of India Ratings. He explains that asset liability mismatch for up to 1 year duration are at a record high, which could prove to be a risk for banks and also keep their funding costs high.
