Domestic stock markets extended their gains to a third straight session, with Sensex and Nifty posting record closing highs on Tuesday. National Stock Exchange (NSE) benchmark index Nifty advanced 49 points, or 0.45 per cent, to end at a record closing high of 11,134 while the BSE Sensex rose 106 points to settle at 36,825.
