20 Indian Soldiers Killed In Face-Off With Chinese Troops In Ladakh
The Army on Tuesday said that 20 soldiers have laid down their lives for the country during the Monday-night clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar have briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the situation. India, in a statement, said casualties on both sides could have been avoided but China tried to change the status quo.
