Soldier Hanamanthappa Koppad's condition has worsened two days after his miracle rescue at Siachen Glacier, where he was buried alive in an avalanche nearly a week ago. India has lost more men in Siachen to adverse weather than to combat. Last week's avalanche deaths have brought demilitarisation of the world's highest battlefield back into focus.
