Hours after violent clashes ripped through Mathura, the constituency of parliamentarian Hema Malini, the actor-politician tweeted photos of a film shoot at Madh Island in Mumbai, drawing sharp criticism online. 24 people have died after nearly 3,000 members of an armed sect in Mathura opened fire last evening on the police when it tried to evict them from a 260-acre park occupied illegally for two years. Among those killed was Mukul Dwivedi, Superintendent of Police. Speaking on the backlash she faced online, Hema Malini said, "I was unaware of anything, how could I predict clashes? I am an artiste, have to keep commitments."
