Analysis: Will NDA support Pranab, and will Mamata return?
After the UPA finally declared Pranab Mukherjee as its candidate for President of India, he described Ms Banerjee as his younger sister, and urged her to change her mind about backing him. She has so far refused, stating that Mr Kalam remains her only choice. The Left, which seems open to persuasion, sources say will take a decision on June 21.
