Arunachal game of thrones: Palace coup or constitutional crisis?
As the crisis in the frontier state of Arunachal Pradesh snowballs, President Pranab Mukherjee asks the Central Government why they felt it necessary that President's Rule be imposed in the state. The Centre alleges that the state's law and order has deteriorated severely and the newly-appointed Governor is facing threats. The Congress,
which rules the state, challenges the government's decision in the Supreme Court, saying the move amounts to the 'trampling of democracy'.
