Assam poll violence: 20 killed, tight security in Goalpara district
Assam's Goalpara district remains tense and under tight security after Tuesday's violence during the village council elections left 20 people dead. Thirteen people died in police firing and seven in clashes between the Rabha Hajong tribe, which was opposing the elections, and members of other communities.
