Bengal Stares At Grim Scenario Ahead Of Durga Puja
New infections are down across the country. But West Bengal is still showing an upward trend - at least for the last two days. While that is possibly too short a period to confirm a trend, doctors are raising the red flag about an explosion of numbers around the Durga Puja as thousands of people descend on the streets for festive shopping. Meanwhile, tests seems to have stagnated and a central government lab director has complained it is getting very few samples to test from the state.
