Key BJP ally, the JD(U), has repeated their demand that the NDA must meet soon and decide on a PM candidate. The JD(U), as is famously known, is uneasy about projecting Narendra Modi and insists that the person projected for the top job should be someone with secular credentials. However, many in the BJP think that's a risk worth taking. The question is: if Mr Modi is eventually pitched as the face for 2014, can he be a Vajpayee and attract allies?
