BJP's Ultimatum To Tamil Nadu Government On Covid Curbs At Places Of Worship

While Tamil Nadu government has prohibited public worship at all worship places on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the festive season as part of its efforts to prevent a Covid spike, the state BJP today took to the streets demanding the lifting of these restrictions. State BJP chief and former IPS officer K Annamalai has given a 10-day ultimatum to the DMK government for lifting the restrictions, failing which he has said the party will organise protests outside all temples.
