Civil Society Groups In Imphal Call For Shut Down Against Recent Violence
Civil society groups in Imphal Valley called for a shutdown against recent violence in Manipur where 10 men from the Kuki tribes were killed in Jiribam district. Hundreds of members of Manipur's Meitei community came out on the streets in Delhi and other cities in a silent candlelight protest, seeking the safety of six people who have been missing since an encounter broke out between suspected Kuki militants and the security forces in the state's Jiribam district on Monday.
