Cong wooing Gujarat youths
For more than a decade the Congress in Gujarat has been put on the mat by its political opponent Narendra Modi. Now, in a bid to revive its fortune and rope in the young, the party has resorted to playing Kabbadi. It believes sport can help revive its fortunes in Gujarat. So, the Congress is now organising sporting events across the state. Aimed particularly at rural Gujarat the party hopes that would increase its popularity.
