Congress-SP alliance in tatters
In Uttar Pradesh, Congress, the grand old party has made it clear on March 18 that it will contest over 50 of UP's 80 seats. That effectively means, even a so-called tacit seat-sharing agreement with the SP is in tatters. The SP and Congress will be contesting against each other in most seats.
